Tuesdays & Thursdays (Year-round)
Join a group of fellow ocean-loving female paddlers for an hour of calm paddling and nature spotting as the sun rises over Manly. Spend a relaxing 60 mins on the water looking out for other early risers such as dolphins, seals, turtles and little penguins!
Join a paddling community that is always friendly, supportive and inclusive. The focus of the session is taking in the magic of an early morning paddle and taking some time to ourselves before a busy day ahead. Every woman is welcome!
The time of these paddles changes throughout the year based on the sunrise time (ranging from 5.20am to 6.30am). Our booking system is updated to reflect this and you will be texted the night before the paddle to confirm too.

What to wear
Summer: Most people like to wear activewear. Something like leggings/shorts and a sun protection top/rash vest are ideal. If the weather is looking great wear swimmers underneath so you can go for a swim if you fancy it!
Winter: Once again activewear is often preferred by our paddlers. Be sure to wear light layers that you can add and remove as you warm up/cool down, plus a windproof jacket. And when it gets REALLY cold, consider a hat/beanie!
Shoes: We normally paddle barefoot (or reef shoes/booties in winter) but arrive in reef shoes/surf booties or flip flops for walking around the launch location

what to bring
- Clothes for paddling (mentioned above)
- Clothes for after (in case you get a little wet - bring something warm for after and perhaps a towel. These can be left at our launch location)
- Sunnies (with strap if you’re going to wear them on the water)
- Sun hat
- Sunscreen
- Water bottle (for afterwards)
Do i need much sup experience?
All experience levels are welcome (and you do not need to stand up in if you don't feel comfortable). These sessions are great for beginners who want to practice their SUP skills in a calm, slow-paced environment.
However, if you've never been on a SUP before and you are feeling apprehensive, for the safety of yourself and other paddlers we *highly recommend* a SUP Confidence Lesson first.
The focus of these paddles is seeing the sunrise from the water. Due to the time constraints of this style of paddle, we don't have the time to cover SUP technique and other items covered in a SUP Confidence Lesson. A Sunrise SUP is a "SUP experience", it is not a SUP "Lesson".
If in doubt, please get in touch to discuss your personal circumstance.

Can i bring my own board?
Yes, you can! If you have your own paddleboard simply select the ‘BYO board’ option when you book in.
